Parents, volunteers and children had the opportunity to learn more about drugs and substance abuse at two sessions in January. Jim Harkins of Family Adolescent Straight talk in Oakville provided us with a power point presentation and some interesting discussions on the topics.

We all learned more about the dangers and signs of substance use while we filled our bellies full of pizza which was also provided by Jim. The discussions were fulfilling and those present went away with some real life information on the topics.

Thanks to Jim Harkins for providing two wonderfully informative sessions on this very important topic and the Ontario Association of Chiefs for the grant that paid for the workshops.
